Stretch Trainer

Stretch Relief – New York, NY 10065 (Upper East Side area)
Part-time, Contract

We are looking for NASM certified personal trainers (or through another accredited certification agency) with Corrective Exercise Specialty backgrounds that are strong believers in stretching and recovery. We are a growing startup and are looking for trainers that are comfortable with a startup environment that is different from the typical gym environment. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and respect for the business, for fellow colleagues and for our clients.

What would you do as a Stretch Therapist at Stretch Relief?

  • 1-on-1 Assisted Stretching – In Studio: You would be providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to our clients that come from all backgrounds (athletes, seniors, yogis, post-rehab, etc)
  • 1-on-1 Assisted Stretching – In Home: You would be providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to our clients in the comfort of their own home. You will be assigned a region based on your home location and will be given all resources needed to conduct the in-home visit.
  • 1-on-1 Assisted Stretching – In Office: You would be providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to our clients in the office as part of Corporate Wellness initiatives.
  • Group Classes – You would also be teaching at least 1 of our group stretch classes that teach clients the proper techniques of stretching and guide them through a full body stretch through various techniques (using foam rollers, stretch bands, etc).

Requirements:

  • NASM (or other accredited agency) certified Personal Trainers – 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Corrective Exercise Specialty preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Functional Movement Screens
  • Experience with providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to clients
  • Comfort level to teach a group stretch class, preferred
  • Flexible, Professional and Respectful

Physical Therapist

We are looking for Physical Therapists that are strong believers in stretching and recovery. We are a growing startup and are looking for trainers and PT’s that are comfortable with a startup environment that is different from the typical gym or rehabilitation environment. This position requires flexibility, professionalism, and respect for the business, for fellow colleagues and for our clients.

What would you do as a Stretch Therapist at Stretch Relief?

  • 1-on-1 Assisted Stretching – In Studio:You would be providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to our clients that come from all backgrounds (athletes, seniors, yogis, post-rehab, etc)
  • 1-on-1 Assisted Stretching – In Home:You would be providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to our clients in the comfort of their own home. You will be assigned a region based on your home location and will be given all resources needed to conduct the in-home visit.
  • 1-on-1 Assisted Stretching – In Office:You would be providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to our clients in the office as part of Corporate Wellness initiatives.
    Post-Rehab Program Development – collaborate with medical partners (foot and ankle surgeons, spine surgeons, pain management specialists, etc) to devise a program for their patients to help them recover faster through our 1:1 stretch therapy and/or group stretch classes.
  • Group Classes- If interested, you would also be teaching at least 1 of our group stretch classes that teach clients the proper techniques of stretching and guide them through a full body stretch through various techniques (using foam rollers, stretch bands, etc).

Additional duties as the Staff Physical Therapist:

  • Required Licenses: Physical Therapist License – New York State
  • Preferred Credentials: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, Masters degree will be considered also
  • Responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapytreatment to assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation.
  • Initial Assessment and Evaluation of Physical Therapy needs for specifically assigned patient populations.
  • Reviews patient history to ascertain important medical information and clarifies referral/Treatment orders if necessary for unfamiliar diagnosis.
  • Selects appropriate assessment tools and methods in order to accurately determine the patients status for developing optimal treatment plan.
  • Demonstrates effective clinical decision making and implements changes/adaptations to the Treatment Plan when appropriate.
  • Implements Treatment Plans and Protocol according to current professional and health system standards. Establishes achievable and appropriate treatment goals with patient and family. Considers a variety of validated treatment approaches and rationales for achievement of patient goals. Selects appropriate technical aids/assistive devices and correctly refers patients to other clinical services to achieve stated program/team treatment goals. Assesses educational needs of patient, families, and implements a variety of methods for patient/family education and training during rehabilitation process.
  • Completes all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement. Completes and plans all required documentation as required by Department guidelines and JACHO/CARF requirements. Clinical Documentation is thorough and complete using appropriate medical and clinical terminology. Accurately records all treatment given including completion of the daily treatment record.
  • Collaborates and guides stretch therapists to execute customized program for post-rehab patients
  • Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.
  • Solid knowledge of Functional Movement Screens
  • Experience with providing 1-on-1 assisted stretching to clients
  • Comfort level to teach a group stretch class, preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Sales Coordinator

We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to provide the necessary support to the field sales team. The successful candidate will become the point of reference for trainers and customers alike, by keeping schedules and providing feedback, documentation and information. The goal is to facilitate the team’s activities so as to maximize their performance and the solid and long-lasting development of the company.

Sales Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information to customers and sales team.
  • Ensuring the adequacy of sales-related equipment or material
  • Responding to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested.
  • Store and sort financial and non-financial data in electronic form and present reports
  • Handle the processing of all orders with accuracy and timeliness
  • Inform clients of unforeseen delays or problems
  • Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements
  • Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional marketing materials or events

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales; experience as a sales coordinator or in other administrative positions will be considered a plus;
  • Good computer skills (MS Office)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with high level of dedication
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; certification in sales or marketing will be an asset.
